1996: when a well off Colombian family has to travel on a perilous country road to visit their ailing grandfather, their reliance on their youngest child to conceal their fake identities will expose him to the reality of war.
Director.
Juan Paulo Laserna is a Colombian director, producer and writer. He graduated with honors from the School of Visual Arts in New York, where he won awards for best directing, editing and film for his feature film Las Malas Lenguas. His stories often utilize magical realism and dark humor to develop contemporary dramas and crime narratives related to immigration. He graduated with honors from the MFA program at Columbia University. He was awarded the Sloan Screenplay Competition award for his story on the indigenous rehabilitation of the land during the war in Colombia, as well as the KOB Mentorship grant for his film, Not My Name.
