Here are some of the sales The Open Reel officially concluded during the last Berlin – EFM.

Panorama title Dry Wind by Daniel Nolasco and Italian production Bitter Years by Andrea Adriatico were acquired by TLA Releasing and TLA Releasing UK for the NA and Uk + Ireland territories. Optimale also acquired  both titles for France and French speaking territories (all rights),  meanwhile Tongariro Release (Poland) and Filmin (Spain) platforms secured them for VOD exploitations.

First feature Seven Minutes by Brazilian Ricky Mastro (a France/Italy co-production), after a sale to Northern America (Breaking Glass), found also distributors for Germany and German speaking territories (Pro Fun-Media, all rights), Benelux (Cinemien, all rights), France (Optimale, all rights), Spain (Filmin, VOD), Poland, (Tongariro Release, VOD), Swedish speaking Scandinavia, Israel, Portugal and Eastern Europe (OUTtv Europe, VOD).

Dekkoo secured NA and UK + Ireland (all) rights of Portuguese Variações – Guardian Angel, by Joāo Maia (also sold for Emirates to Emirates Airline and for Spain to Filmin) and of shorts Mani (by Ashkan Mehri) and The Day Began Yesterday by Julian Hernandez. Both shorts were also sold to Germany and German speaking territories (home video rights, cmv Laservision) together with Matteo Bernadrini‘s An AfterthouhgtMy Brother and J’ador, both directed by Simone Bozzelli.  More over, VOD rights of The Day Began Yesterday went to Tongariro Release for Poland.

Jaione Camborda‘s Arima  got sales for NA and China (all rights), for Portugal, Benelux, Poland and UK (VOD), and for Germany, Australia and New Zealand (educational rights) through SPI International and Kino Polska.

Also Brief Story from the Green Planet by Santiago Loza has found a French distribution, thanks to Optimale. 

Finally, Taiwan based company Portico Media extended rights of already acquired titles Al Berto and Sunburn by Vicente Alves do O, Brief Story from the Green Planet, and The Objects of Love by Adrian Silvestre.
